Mistletoe
Lots of mistletoe this Christmas.
Long time ago, if a young kid thought that he could sing, he would release a tribute to his mother:
Mama. Although this song was written in 1940 for an Italian opera, I heard it for the first time in the late sixties by a dutch boysinger named
Heintje, who sang this song in German and Dutch. Followed up by Jantje Smit (with the famous dutch band BZN), Thomas Berge, Tom Hans, Duri Krasniqi and many others.
A few years ago, our young artists left their mothers, and they sung
Hallelujah (over 20 covers on this site). It took some time, but after a while this great Leonard Cohen song was out of date too.
The sky is the limit, and we like to reach that sky. And right in time, there was Demi Lovato's
Skyscraper (over 15 covers, incl. the
Spanish versions).
But a skyscraper is not the way to reach the top. Better have one's feet firmly on the ground. Do like Justing Bieber: sing
Mistletoe (15).

Between all that mistletoe, luckily I found something totally different. Young-Artists is proudly presents:
the Wee Amigos. Three lads from Ireland. No Bieber-look-a-likes, but Irish country-style.

Many children only want one thing when they are grown up: being famous.
Only a few will succeed.
To be able to break through into the world of glamor and glitter they need two things: talent and knowledge.
Those who has no talent falls off straight away.
But even those who do have talent, has to go a long and hard way, together with a normal education, because success is never guaranteed.
Young Artists is paying attention for these talented kids, and hopes that someday their wishes come true.

Young Artists website that has collected over 1200 video clips from YouTube, Veoh, Daily Motion and other servers brought together, often with lyrics. The Wee Amigos, New CD release coming soon
The Wee Amigos is started in 2011 as an Irish country music boyband, named after another Irish trio, the Three Amigos (Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell, Patrick Feeney).
Simon Peters, Ben Troy and Gerald Ahern have joined forces as to form the Wee Amigos and were
officially launched
by the Three Amigos on their Grand Tour concert in Enniskillen on March 30, 2011.
A few days later they
performed with Patrick Feeney
at his Country music weekend in Claremorris (County Mayo) and in May, they supported Derek Ryan on his band.
More performances followed (Country Fest in Letterkenny, Crumlins Childrens Hospital).
Highlight was a performance on the
Late Late Show,
Ireland's most watched TV show.
In 2012 the Wee Amigos will continue with Gerald Ahern(12) and Ben Troy(13).
Their album 'We are the Wee Amigos' will be released in februari.

Ben Troy
Ben is enjoying great success on the country music scene with his father Tommy, having won duo of the year at the Sunday world awards, Best Duo at the Limerick FM awards, Best New Country Duo at TIPP FM awards and Young Entertainer of the Year at the Hot Country Country Music Award show in May 2011.
Tommy & Ben were on a show running in TG4 Feis & blood were they are through to the semi final, also down to the last 16 in the all Irelands Got Talent show.
Tommy & Ben have been featured on SKY TV numerous times and have had the most request video on Hot Country & Featured artist on the Philmack Country Show.
Tommy & Ben were also touring in the UK in this summer.
Ben won Young Entertainer of the Year at The Hot country TV awards.
Ben is one of the Wee Amigos and is managed by award winning Video & TV show producer Steve Bloor.

Mikeboymaster, talented singer and songwriter from Germany
The fourteen-year-old Meik Gawlik from Cologne (NRW - Germany) has been three years actively involved in music, and follows keyboard and singing lessons.
Everything started in 2008 with keyboard and voice lessons. Listen to his old songs and the newer ones, and hear the progress.
Mike has already written and composed 30 songs and has many ideas for new songs.
His role models are Robbie Williams and Michael Jackson.

Theodora, a young girl from Romania
Bianca-Theodora Albu lives in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Rising under her brother's influence, she likes trains, airplanes, guns, dragons, dynosaurs and cars. She likes music too, especially rock, pop and ballads.
Theodora started singing through imitation, not learning musical notes. She used karaoke or instrumental version found on Internet, to help her sing.
The first show was in Bulgaria (2007), grace to the amability of Boriana Hubanova and Venci Hubanov.

Just released: 'Love Me' by Gerald Ahern
Gerald (Cork, Ireland) is an extremely talented solo singer, and is also one of the Wee Amigos.
He has won many talent competitions and was in the final of Corks Got Talent 2011.
Gerald has also won Blackpools Got Talent in the UK.
The album contains eight covers by Gerald Ahern and three bonus tracks by the Wee Amigos.
'Love,Me' (don't confuse it with the JB hit 'Love me') is a song telling us about a couple who promise to love each other. The song's narrator tells of being with his grandfather, and reading a note that was written by his grandmother back when both grandparents were younger. Read more at the

This song was original sung by Collin Raye, but it sounds like it was written for Geralds voice. Excelent.

I have listened to many covers of
'Hey, Soul Sister' (Train):
Jordan Jansen, Devin Fox,
Jaxn Odell, Sepp `n Sigi (beautiful own sound),
Eirik Gjen, Jay Massey (Jmanmas) and many more. But when I reached the third song on this album, I awarded myself no time to listen to the rest of the album. I played
'Hey, Soul Sister' over and over.

Billy Gilman was only 12 years young when he reached the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart with his song
'One Voice'. Do I see an opportunity for the 12-year-old Gerald?
'She was covered in leather and gold, 21 years old'. Let's face it, Gerald. You are to young for her. But when singing
'Brooklyn' you are a good rival for Bruno Mars.
'Fireflies' (Owl city) is another song which I can listen to again and again. But I don't do that this time, becouse we have three more songs to go.

Simon Peters
Simon has been on the Country music scene for the past year enjoying great success, including recently winning Entertainer of Year at the West Limerick Awards and will be going to Scotland to do a show with Gene Watson.
He appeared on the Late Late Toy show in 2010 and recording trip to Nashville. Simon is a YouTube hit with a duet with John Hogan with over 50000 hits.
Producer Steve Bloor has worked very closely with Simon over the past year including producing all his videos.
Simon recently won Young Country Star at the Hot Country TV Awards night.

Allan Clelland-Goddard
Allan Clelland-Goddard was born in England on July 29, 1997. Only three months old he and his family moved to Trinidad (Trinidad & Tobago).
This year, Allan and his family moved to Florida.
Allan loves music and singing from an early age. Only six years old he won a song contest at school and two years later, a national singing competition.
Allan likes to become an actor or singer. And he has some experience. He played in three musicals: Oliver in the musical Oliver(based on Charles Dickens novell), Kurt in the Sound of Music and Chip in Beauty and the Beast.
The first song I heard from Allan was his song Street Children. Street Children describes the plight of the many (according to United Nations estimates more than 150 million), homeless street children who daily struggle to survive.
The text was written by Allan's mother, Deborah. In a few weeks time, Street Children became the most viewed video on this website.

I Understand . . . Ethan2Rock
Ethan James, better known as Ethan2Rock, is a 15 year old singer and guitar player from New-Zealand.
He started his career when he was only 10 and realises that there is a long way to go before to reach the top. However, I am sure some day he will reach that top.
Ethan sings some covers by other artists, but also wrote his own songs.
In 2008, only 11 years old, in three days time he wrote "Miss Jones" for a school project. The title is based on the teachers name.
Other songs that you have to listen to are 'Who I am', 'Fishing for Lisa' and 'I Understand'. Or even better, order a complete DVD containing 15 HQ videoclips, see
