James Bell, one-man rock-band
Originally starting on the drums James Bell was inspired to play the guitar when he heard his Dad playing Deep Purple`s `Smoke on the Water` and thought it sounded great.
In 2011, 13-year-old James wins the `Young Guitarist of the Year` competition, organized by the British Guitarist Magazine. At June 4, James played his winning composition, `A New Hope`
at the finals at London`s Southbank Centre.
Now, two years later, we know James is not only a drummer and a guitarist. He is also a singer with an amazing voice.
In some of his video clips, we see James playing guitar, bass, drums and singing. Can you imagine: a complete rockband in only one person. Did we have seen that before? (Oops, yes we did: Noa Johannesson
a few years ago and recently Griffin Tucker
His favorite instrument? A Vintage VS6-SG.
My favorite instrument? His voice. Let's hope that it will stay that way, you never knows with boys in this age. But even if his voice will struggle someday, he will still be the best young guitarist of years.
